My name is Patience Meliora Blythe. I was born in England but moved to the United States when I was very young. I spent most of my life in Texas, but have lived in central Mexico, New York City, Philadelphia, and now, the Downeast coast of Maine.
Recently, I left a career teaching middle school science after seven years in the classroom to pursue making and teaching art to children and adults. I am a full-time jeweler in Hulls Cove, Maine. The island on which I live has a very small year-round population of colorful characters. I spend most of my time working on jewelry, teaching metal arts, writing, or walking around.
On this blog, I will be writing about my experiences and my thoughts as I transition from one part of my life into another one. This project is designed to connect with others via writing and photography, so that we may share experiences and grow from them. Please let me know what you think!!!
